This guide will help you learn the basics of programming.

  • Variables and working with data
  • Write to the screen and read user input
  • Conditions and loops
  • Text manipulation
  • Functions are used to create reusable code

Learn quickly one of the most essential skills in programming

You might hear the notion that programming is a competitive industry. While this might work for some, it is not the best idea for all. For most people, however, it is a smart decision to start at the beginning, which is the C language.

This language is used by who? It is used by everyone, regardless of whether they are aware of it. It is used in mobile and desktop operating systems, most embedded systems, and in the construction of other programming languages (such as C#, Python, and Java).

This course contains the following content

This course was created for you, the beginner. We will start with the basics. How to create and run C++ code. Dev-C++ will be our IDE, but this is a recommendation. If you already have another IDE installed, you can use it.

Continued discussions will focus on the basics of a program and how to interact with it using keyboard input and program output. We’ll also learn how to format our output in the way we like.

It’s all well and good to interact with the program, but what if it wants to do something different based on a condition? We will continue to learn more about this topic. We’ll also explore ways we can do things (inside our codes) as many times as we like.

Next, we will cover how to manipulate text in low-level ways. This is a fascinating topic and far more detailed than other languages. This is something you don’t see when you use Java for text manipulation. It will provide great food for thought for those who are curious.

Last but not least, we’ll be covering how to create code that can later be used using functions.

You will soon be a programmer after this course. This course will teach you the fundamentals of programming languages and more.
